Good Morning! It's the first Monday of October. Does it really feel like Fall to you yet? Today we have a new author joining us. Please help me welcome Author Lynette Edwards to the blog.
Lynette Edwards
Lynette Edwards is from the Southern state of Louisiana. She
is the author of the nationally recognized book 'Take off the Mask'. Lynette
has been afforded the opportunity to travel various states to promote her
published works.
In June of 2016 Lynette published book one of a three book series
titled, 'One Night Only'. The recently published book is in the process of
getting transformed into a live production.
Lynette uses written words to reach audiences across America
in hopes of shining a light on real life topics to educate, empower, and
embrace today's generation.
Author Interview
1. What inspired you to become a Multicultural,
IR, or BWWM Romance Writer?
Writing Multicultural books actually
happened unexpectedly. After dealing with personal circumstances in my own
personal life I decided to write as therapy to escape from the daily agony that
I was enduring at the time.
2. Besides writing, what are some of your
favorite things?
I love traveling as well as spending quality
time with close family and friends. I also enjoy coordinating events and
parties.
3. Name at least two (2) authors that you
admire who write Multicultural, IR, or BWWM Romance?
Sister Souljah and Sheena Binkley are two
Romance authors I admire.
4. What types of genre of books do you enjoy
reading? What are you currently reading?
I love reading Christian Fiction as well as
Romance; I am currently reading 'Lost Within' by T.S. Brumsey.
5. Are you working on anything new? If so, when
can we expect it to be released?
The third and final book of the 'One Night
Only' series titled 'Playing with Fire' will be released in November of this
year.
6. Do you have any scheduled upcoming
events; such as book signing, interviews, etc.?
Yes I do have upcoming events: On October 8th I
will be doing an interview with OG Productions.
7. Where do you expect to be in your career as
an author five (5) years from now?
Iwould like to offer literary services to
potential new authors as well as organize events that promote reading and
different writing services.
8. What advice can you give to new authors
who's interested in writing in this genre?
I would definitely advise new authors to
research this genre and be sure that this genre relates to the work that they have
written. I would recommend that they work with a publisher who is familiar
with this genre. My last words to any new author is to 'relax and become the
author you were created to be, don't duplicate anyone, but instead be
yourself.'
