Cordelia Michelsen
Cordelia Michelsen is a
BWWM romance novelist. Cordelia hails from upstate New York. She is a mother of
three crazy kids, ages seventeen, eight, and three. So between football, dance,
and Mickey Mouse, there is never a dull moment. Cordelia has an amazing
husband; whom she refers to as Superman because not only does he put up with
her wild imagination he also edits her books and makes some kickass chili. Not
only that, he also plays stand-up bass.
Cordelia has always been
a creative person. She did theater for years and was a singer as well. She
began writing seriously last year. Although she always had a love for writing
she never finish anything she wrote! Her first book, “The Kings' Inheritance”
was actually more of a challenge and a goal for herself that she was determined
to follow through with. But she didn’t stop there. Three months later, on her
40th birthday she released her second book, “Still Life”.
Other than writing,
Cordelia’s other passions include baking, gel manicures, anything and
everything Coach, Jax Teller, Dean Winchester, and Damon Salvatore.

Author Interview
1. What inspired you to become a Multicultural, IR or
BWWM Romance writer?
Life
is what inspired me to be an IR/BWWM writer. I have been in an IR marriage for
13 years and most of my family are as well.
2. Besides writing, what are some of your favorite
things?
Baking
is definitely one of my other loves, especially cheesecakes! But most
importantly my two most favorite things are being a mom and a wife.
3. Name at least two (2) authors that you admire who
write Multicultural, IR or BWWM Romance?
Shea
Swain and Ophelia Sikes.
4. What types or genre of books do you enjoy reading? What
are you currently reading?
I
like BWWM, Suspense, Thrillers, and Paranormal. Right now I am writing so at
the moment I am not reading anything. But the first on my list is Expose by
Drew Jordan followed by Chained to the Devil's Son by Shea Swain.
5. Are you working on anything new? If so, when can we
expect it to be released?
I
just finished an anthology! The Where
Love May Find You Collection. My story is actually the prequel (It's called
The Second Step) to my book Girl Divided (Book 1) of The Binding Series which will hit on
Halloween!!! So make sure you watch for it!
6. Do you have any scheduled upcoming events; such as
book signings, interviews, etc.?
Yes, I
actually have quite a lot going on.

7. Where do you expect to be in your career as an author
five (5) years from now?
Wow!
That is a good question. Well I hope that my books will be made for television
and/or film. But to be a part of it as well. My vision is to see these hot and
steamy books we love to read and write and put them on the screen. Not only will
you get sizzling scenes but a plot, a love story, and characters that will make
you fall in love with them.
8. What advice can you give to new authors who’s interested
in writing in this genre?
Two
things:
1. BE
AUTHENTIC
2.
Write the story you want to read.

Book Excerpt ~ Girl
Divided
As we reached the
twenty-eighth floor, an older gentleman maybe fifty or so,was still with us. He
tried hard to be nonchalant, but I could feel his eyes on my ass, Ellis did as
well. I felt his grip slowly lessening from my wrist, until I was free. I
slowly flexed my fingers as his hand grazed my ass, caressing it as he
continued to stare at the descending numbers. I stayed motionless staring at
the same illuminated digits. He palmed a handful of my ass, enough so that the
pale pink bathrobe I wore began to rise, revealing a hint of my smooth brown
ass. While I did find it extremely inappropriate, I trusted him, I wanted him,
I was turned on.
The gentleman behind us
cleared his throat. The sexual tension in this confined space, was
intoxicating, I barely noticed the elevator come to halt and announce our
arrival. Ellis let go of me, and stepped aside.
“After you sir,” he
said, smiling politely as he let the man pass between us. He nodded and smiled
uncomfortably, as he hurried out of the elevator. Ellis held out his hand, I
extended my arm for him to take my wrist as he always does. He pulled me into
him with effortless force, and firmly whispered in my ear, “Good girl.”
