Synopsis
Mark ‘Slab’ Taylor would’ve loved nothing more than to enjoy his youth and become someone that his parent’s could be proud of. He was an honor student, and had the best two role models that he could ever wish for; his hard working father Ernest and loving mother Bonnie. Yet with the financial demands of having eleven children to provide for poverty was proving to be an impossible hurdle for the family to scale, the other teens at the school never letting him forget it as they continuously ridiculed him about being poor. Even his best friend Darnell was getting the same treatment, to the point where his constant fighting got him kicked out of school.
Mark’s new friend Drew has dope fiend parents who only care about their next fix, so when the neighborhood drug kingpin offers to put them on the team it’s on and popping. Kendra enters the picture and soon becomes the apple of his eye, and Drew falls in love with Stacey who happens to be Detective Roberts’ daughter. Though he ends up retiring from the force, it’s his ex partner Detective Moss who dogs the trail of the crack cocaine dealing trio until he brings them down.
In Part 2 of Da Ghetto Gospels the street drama continues, even the treacherous Matthew and his equally sinister partner Hitman come back to make a brief appearance.
